1. Why do the Special Ed. students clean up the Cafateria after lunch

This has been a question plaguing me ever since I started at Pioneer. We have the funds to pay a custodian for the hour after lunch, because of the millions of dollars the school gets for each student on count day. So WHY?! Furthermore what the hell is the problem with the Special Ed teachers? I swear they yell at those poor kids. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! GET BACK TO WORK SLAVE!" They scream, well if not that then something close to it. I've seen these teachers come in with bags of Burger King for only themselves, eat it right in front of the children's faces, and laugh as if these children actually were slaves.
I make light of this, but I honestly would like to know the anwser. If you can then please tell me.

I know this is an old blog, but I'm sure that the special ed teachers do not force these kids like slaves. Most of the time, actually, it might seem like the students push the teacher's nerve to the bone. It can be very frustrating trying to communicate, some kids can't really understand the first few times a teacher asks something. Sometimes, if the kids aren't controlled, they can do strange things that might bother a "normal kid's" privacy.
well, I'm trying not to have bias here. My brother has Down syndrome and he's adorable, and I completely respect those teachers who can put up with his behavior everyday.
When I was walking down the hall one day last year, there was a special ed student on the floor d2 crying her eyes out. I go over to her cause I thought she had banged her head or something because she was crying so hard, so I help her up and try to talk to her but she cannot stop crying. So I tell her to stay there and that I'm going to get her teacher. I go in, and guess what? No teacher, so I wait around, and then the teacher comes in, I explain the situation and she tells me that I shouldn't be egging her on.
Real good of her to even check if the girl HAD hurt herself.
